Anger / Conflict
Anger as soon as it is fed…is dead.
It is starving it that makes it fat.

--Emily Dickenson

Most people experience anger at some time or another. It usually passes when a situation is resolved, or a choice is made to release pent up emotions and move on. Anger only becomes problematic when it is bottled up…or blows up. Clichés such “he’s going “postal”,  “she’s having a meltdown” or “things are about to “erupt” create the impression that anger is a negative response.

Those who judge anger as inappropriate often suppress or deny what is a normal human emotion. It is a misperception that all anger leads to hostility or violence.  When anger is used as an indicator of something that requires attention it can be a useful tool. Anger properly utilized and channeled can prevent conflicts at home, work or within the community.

FRESH BEGINNINGS APPROACH TO TRANSFORMING ANGER AND CONFLICT:
Fresh Beginnings materials combine both conflict and anger together because one usually triggers the other. Anger and conflict are often developed  through core patterns rooted in personal history. Our methods provide practical ways to pause and move attention into present time, away from past thoughts and feelings.
This creates some breathing space where clearer thinking can prevail. Once a person becomes more present, responsible, accountable choice making can be implemented.

FB Conflict resolution techniques involve attentive listening and moving from black/white/right/wrong mindsets to ones of neutral acceptance for differences. Conflicted feelings arise when people are not feeling loved, understood and accepted. When both parties are feeling that way it can be challenging to find some middle ground.

Our self-change methods involve practical ideas and solutions that empower individuals and their families to create and maintain peaceful outcomes to their respective life situations.

Whether in seminars or private life coaching, our approach addresses the underlying dynamics leading to anger, then presents ways to channel that emotion into more self-affirming and socially appropriate ways. With the Inner Dynamics System we have a model that transforms this often misunderstood and maligned emotion into one that can lead to greater self awareness and accountable living.

Anger leads to conflict…and conflicts can trigger anger.

THE INNER DYNAMICS SYSTEM TO TRANSFORMING ANGER AND CONFLICT INVOLVES:

·
Accountable choice making
·
Anger styles
·
Breathing and Relaxation Exercises
·
Creating healthy interpersonal relationships
·
Developing Empathy
·
Responses to Anger
·
Managing anger and conflict
·
Passive Aggressive Behaviors
·
Stress Factors
·
Win-win communication

Why just manage anger…why not transform it?

FB promotes the idea that observation is the first step to transformation. From that point it becomes easier to move into the observer mode rather than acting out of habit or conditioning. If any of the following “anger dynamics” are prevailing themes then it might be time to give us a call and begin to create your own Fresh Beginning:

·
Anger and conflict is interfering with relationships and quality of life
·
Emotions of rage feel uncontrollable
·
Feeling victimized and dis-empowered by the acts of others
·
Holding on to something that happened a long time ago and revisiting it
·
Intense feelings are impinging on work and home environments
·
Masking the intensity of emotions being experienced
·
Outbursts of anger and/or violence
·
Playing the “blame game”
·
Triggers to anger are becoming more frequent
·
The mind constantly replays conflicts without taking reasonable steps to resolve them
·
Vengeful thoughts

For those who refuse to change their beliefs and actions life will continue the way it is
…is that good news?
